To do this, our scientists and engineers had to completely rethink the conventional approach behind actuation and reset points of a mechanical switch.
Instead of focusing solely on typing comfort, we prioritized on speed, accuracy, and durability to enhance performance for gaming. Requiring a force of only 50g to actuate, (45g for stealth editions), the all-new Razer Mechanical Switch actuates at an optimal distance of 1.9mm, and resets itself at almost half the distance of traditional mechanical switches.
The Razer Mechanical Switches are ultra-durable and last up to 60 million key strokes compared to 50 million on traditional mechanical switches.
Using a new high precision manufacturing technique, we were able to bring down the tolerance levels of each switch to almost zero, resulting in the most even precise keystrokes across the board with minimal variation.
