DGS-3420 series is the Layer 2+ members of D-Link xStack product line. The DGS-3420-52P provides 48 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet ports. 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet ports allow you to connect to another LAN switches, or directly connects to the power users with Gigabit access. Another 4 combo ports provide the fiber connectivity. 10GE SFP+ ports provide fiber uplinks for inter-device connection. The DGS-3420 series can be stacked with 10G SPF+ transceiver, providing up to 40G stacking bandwidth, or cab stack with D-Link SIM technology. The third or fourth 10GE slot of DGS-3420-52P is available for more advanced network architecture like providing 10GE uplink for a Ring stack or dual 10GE uplinks for a ring stack for uplink load sharing and fail-over. With the latest technology, DGS-3420 series switches provide advanced L2+ features including IPv4/v6 static routing, QoS and ACL. Packet routing and protocol filtering/inspection make the switch act even as the Layer 4 switches. DGS-3420 series can enable RIP/RIPng for advanced layer 3 dynamic routing.
